Among other things, joke is showcasing its latest device for coating metal surfaces that are subject to particularly high stress: with the ENESKArapidcoat control unit and the appropriate application handpiece, a heat-resistant tungsten carbide coating can be applied to tools, moulds or mechanical components. This significantly reduces wear and tear and prevents production downtime. In real customer applications, a service life extension of up to 700% has been achieved for production tools. The ENESKArapidcoat is entirely ‘Made in Germany’ and complements joke Technology's existing portfolio in the field of hard metal coating. What makes this new development so special is that, thanks to a special handpiece in which the tungsten carbide is now melted using a rotating electrode, it is possible to coat larger areas evenly in a short time. For delicate work, ENESKArapidcoat can also be operated with a linear vibration handpiece.

The device is operated using factory-preset or individual, storable working parameters: ‘With ENESKArapidcoat, the ignition frequency, speed and power can be set via a modern control panel before coating,’ explains Fabian Bickenbach, Head of Welding Technology at joke Technology. ‘If one parameter is changed, the other two are automatically adjusted accordingly.’ This ensures that the settings always deliver a practical coating result and that no further corrections are necessary. The parameter setting also enables beginners to quickly achieve the desired results. ENESKArapidcoat is mobile and equipped with an air-cooled handpiece. The device complies with all European standards and safety regulations.
